Application-level Software Engineer
Job duties will include software development and maintenance, database and interface design, unit code and testing, system documentation and maintenance of web based applications. The applicant should have a relevant Bachelor’s degree, while MSc and/or PhD will be positively evaluated. The applicant should have team spirit and be able to work in a highly cooperative, bi-lingual environment (good knowledge of the English language is considered a must). Good knowledge of the following technologies is desired:
- PHP, HTML (5), CSS, Javacript (JQuery)
- RESTful API design & implementation -Java (Jersey), Python (Django REST framework/Flask)
- Application servers administration (Apache, Tomcat7, Glassfish)
- ORM Frameworks (JPA/Hibernate, Python SQLAlchemy)
- DB design and administration (SQL/NoSQL, e.g. MySQL, MongoDB)
Experience in Linux-based operating systems and services will be considered an additional plus.
System-level Engineer
Job duties will include software development and maintenance at system level, databases, operating systems and network programming, unit code and testing, system documentation. The applicant should have a relevant Bachelor’s degree, while MSc and/or PhD will be positively evaluated. The applicant should have team spirit and be able to work in a highly cooperative, bi-lingual environment (good knowledge of the English language is considered a must). Good knowledge of the following technologies and programming languages is desired:
- Object Oriented Programming (Java, C++, Python)
- Network Programming and administration of Linux-based operating systems
- DB design and administration (SQL/NoSQL, e.g. MySQL, MongoDB)
- Provision and scale cloud resources
Good knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud management platforms (in particular Openstack) will be considered an additional plus.
