Το Software Improvement Group (SIG) και η PeopleCert δημιούργησαν μία καινούρια πιστοποίηση για προγραμματιστές με εμπειρία τουλάχιστον ενός χρόνου στον αντικειμενοστραφή προγραμματισμό και συγκεκριμένα στη γλώσσα C#.
Η συμμετοχή στην εξέταση είναι δωρεάν όπως και το βιβλίο του O’Reilly πάνω στο οποίο θα γίνει η εξέταση.

Call for Student Participation in “Building Maintainable Software” certification
Background
The Software Improvement Group (SIG) and PeopleCert are jointly creating new examinations for certifying software developers on how to build systems of good quality with focus on maintainability. This certification is aimed at knowledge and skills to develop maintainable software systems. SIG and PeopleCert are seeking students of Computer Science and related disciplines to participate in the first round of exams.
Why participate?
You will improve your knowledge about building maintainable software and receive a certification when passing the corresponding exam successfully. To prepare for the exam you will receive the early edition of the O’Reilly e-book “Building Maintainable Software”.
Who is eligible?
The only requirement for candidates eligible to take the certification exam is that they are able to program using OO technologies (the exam requires reading C#).
Practical information
- The exam takes place at various locations in the 2nd week of November (09/11 – 13/11).
- The exam takes the form of a multiple-choice test. Reviewing is done by PeopleCert.
- Study material will be available in the form of an e-book in the beginning of October.
- The exam takes at most 2 hours.
- Candidates who pass the exam will receive the Certification within 3-4 weeks.
