Software Engineer | Patras
Velti is seeking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer with strong technical skills, a collaborative work ethic and teamwork spirit to join the development team. You should be able to work in an agile/scrum environment, collaborating closely with other developers, and product managers in our Patras offices.
Among others, you will specifically be helping to build an advanced canvas editor tool used to create rich media ads which is written on a custom Python application server utilizing a custom JavaScript framework. You will be developing supporting frameworks, and have the opportunity to help shape the structure and direction of the application by developing additional features to this editor.

Required Experience & Qualifications:
•BS in Computer Science or related field, a MSc degree is preferred.
•Proven programming skills with any high level OO language like Java, Python, C++.
•Good knowledge of web related technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript, Web Services, XML).
•Practical experience with popular modern web frameworks (backbone.js, node, websockets) and modern SQL and No-SQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB,…)
•Experience in UNIX-based environments.
•Understanding of basic software development process and tools (SVN, GIT, JIRA).
•Practical experience with native applications development for either iOS or Android is a plus.
•Practical experience with big-data applications and tools is a plus.
