HUMAN’18 – Human Factors in Hypertext
This is the first workshop of a new series for the ACM Hypertext conferences. It has a strong focus on the user and thus is complementary to the strong machine analytics research direction that could be experienced in previous conferences. The user-centric view on hypertext not only includes user interfaces and interaction, but also discussions about hypertext application domains. Furthermore, the workshop raises the question of how original hypertext ideas (e.g., Doug Engelbart’s “augmenting human intellect” or Frank Halasz’ “hypertext as a medium for thinking and communication”) can improve today’s hypertext systems. The workshop is appealing for short research papers (2-4 pages) and full research papers (5-10 pages) on topics including: Systems for augmenting human intellect, User-centric hypertext systems, User interfaces and interactions, Cognitive aspects and hypertext, Collaboration and hypertext, Information structuring, Hypertext used for human communication, Hypertext and decision making, Spatial hypertext, Annotation services, Organizing information, Information structuring in digital humanities, User perspectives in adaptive hypertext, Social aspects of humans using hypertext, and Intercultural aspects in hypertext.

RevOpiD’18 – Opinion Mining, Summarization and Diversification
This workshop aims at uncovering diverse perspectives to defining opinions. How can opinions be better summarized on online forums, in web search results or elsewhere? What relationships can be mapped between exchange of opinions on the web? We invite submissions on all such relatively unexplored dynamics of opinion mining and modeling. The workshop is appealing for original work and progress reports on: Review Opinion Diversification, Opinion Modeling techniques, Text and Sentiment Summarization, Opinion summarization in ranking, Exchange of opinions as network graphs, Joint Topic Sentiment Modeling, Phrase Embeddings, Sentiment Normalization on a relative scale, Paraphrase detection in opinionated text, Factors affecting likeability of online reviews, Fake review detection, Sarcasm detection in online reviews, Bias propagation on online forums, Evaluation of opinion diversity, Evaluation of representativeness and diversity in ranking, Knowledge Representation methods for opinions.
